Philips SENSEO ® Coffee Machine

The Philips SENSEO ® coffee maker can produce one or two cups of coffee, with a layer of froth which helps to retain the warmth and taste. The system has been developed in conjunction with Douwe Egberts and exclusively uses SENSEO ® coffee pods to make the coffee.

Philips SENSEO® – The SENSEO® Coffee Machine

The SENSEO® machine is straightforward to use and comes in three colours: blue, white and black. To make coffee, you fill up the water reservoir with enough water for several cups of coffee. Then simply pick a Douwe Egberts’ coffee pod and insert it into the appropriate pod holder.

Select the setting on the machine for the amount of coffee that you want the machine to make. One pod is enough for one cup of coffee, and two pods will produce two cups or one mug of coffee.

The SENSEO® will then take about a minute to brew your coffee for you.

Philips SENSEO® – Pods

Philips SENSEO® pods have been specially designed by Douwe Egberts for the SENSEO® coffee machine and contain balanced portions of water and coffee. An internal spray head produces an optimal coffee filtering process.

There are four types of SENSEO® pod available: Mild Roast, Medium Roast, Dark Roast and Decaffeinated blends.

You can’t use the SENSEO® to make tea, espresso or cappuccino, but it will produce great tasting coffee with a layer of crema in less than a minute.
