Krups Coffee Makers

Krups is part of Groupe SEB, manufacturers of small domestic goods in more than 120 countries.

Founded by Robert Krups in 1846, Krups originally specialised in making needle scales and platform scales, but in 1956 launched its first electric coffee grinder. On the back of the success of this product, Krups began to produce other small household appliances and in 1983 the company launched its first espresso coffee maker.

Krups now specialises in coffee makers, producing a whole range of filter and espresso machines and modern versions have taken their place alongside more traditional models. The Krups Nespresso, which uses pods to produce espresso, was launched in partnership with Nestle in 1991, and the company is continuing to expand its range.
